∙ 15y agoIn general they are called fullbacks but if you have four defenders the inner two are called the stopper and the sweeper. The stopper plays ahead of the outer fullbacks and serves almost as a defensive midfielder while the sweeper plays behind the defense as the last defender before the goalie.
