the tiger tiger tank was a German tank used in the fields of battle in Europe during WWII. they were notoriously deadly because they were by far the most well armored and had the most powerful gun when they were introduced in 1942. The Germans used these tanks primarily on the Eastern front, though there were introduced in small numbers to the Western front after the Normandy invasion.

Even towards the end of the war, they were still greatly feared for their power and protection. However, they were produced in far too small quantity (only about 1300 were made), and were quickly overwhelmed by the huge number of M4 Sherman and T-34 tanks produced by the Allies (both of which were produced in quantities greater than 40,000).
