What is a landed punch in boxing?

I'm pretty sure that is self-explanatory. A landed punch is when a punch you throw physically touches/hits your opponent. If I'm wrong. Someone correct me. ^_^ hope that helped. I COULD BE WRONG ALSO , I'LL TRY TO EXPLAIN. IN A CLINCH AND GUYS WERE THROWING PUNCHES ON THE INSIDE ,A SCRAPE HERE ,A SCUFFTHERE.
