hey!
for a 16 year old boy, i would be aiming for 2:05 or under. i'm 14, & my fastest guy friends run the 800m at around 2:20, so i'd say 2:05 is reasonable since you are older. good luck!!:)
xoxo
PS i'm a girl & i run it at like 2:30. lol:)
-------------------------------------------------
well i am 15 and i am from Jamaica.....and the time that won the under 16 boys category was 1:56.32 and the person who came last was 2:02
anyone that is in good shape should run at least 60 seconds a competitive highschool time is from 55 to low 50's i once saw a guy run a 49 tho hes probably gunna go to the Olympics one day tho
I'm a freshman in track this year, and I'm considered good but not great. My PR is a 10:33 in the 3200, but there is another freshman from a school close to mine (who is considered phenomenal) that runs sub 10. His PR is about a 9:50.
I am a freshman. I run an 11 or 11:30. A good time for you should be 9:30 to 10:30
12 minutes
about 3 to 4 minutes
A good time to my calculations would be 9.60 nine- minutes-60-seconds
The 800 meter run is a half mile or, on a standard 400 meter track, two complete laps.
No slower than around 2 minutes 50 seconds might let you place.
its ok but im 12 2 n i get a 2:25 so i uess dats ok
1928 Games in Amsterdam. Women participated in 100 meter dash, 4x100 meter relay, 800 meter run, discus, and high jump.
an elite 400 and 800 meter time would be 55-54 and an elite 800 time would be 204-209
Well a descent time for an 800 meter run for your age group would be around 02:35:00. I'm 17 and my best time i ran was 02:10:03
depending on how fast you can run i'd say 3:00-3:30
No slower than around 2 minutes 50 seconds might let you place.

== == The women's world record in the 800 meter run is held by Jarmila Kratochvilova of the Czech Republic who ran the distance in 1:53.28 in 1983.
