Trapping, or controling, the soccer ball from the air can be easy to accomplish when you put in time. You can trap the ball from many different body parts. Some common ones are feet, thigh, and chest. Where ever you trap the ball, some things stay the same.


1. Always keep your eye on the ball. Don't let it hit you in the face... that may be embarressing (:


2. Cushion the ball whenever you are controling it. This means that when the ball comes to you, you need to move your leg back or chest back (whatever the surface may be) so that you can prevent the ball from bouncing back.


3. Put in some practice--this skill won't magically appear. Try juggling, or keeping the ball in the air with your feet and other parts, to perfect your touches. Really, it does help!
