Just to be clear the runner that got hit is out. As for the batter, it would be scorers discretion. If the scorekeeper believes he would have made it on base anyways ( perhaps the ball was hit to the gap or he was within feet of the base by the time the player would have gotten to the ball) then it could be scored as an infield hit
