There are two choices that you can use to fix a waterlogged Baseball. Either leave it on pavement on a very hot, sunny day. Once the sun goes down move the baseball(s) in an area where there is no moisture/wetness. The second option is to place the baseball(s) on a oven pan and put hem in the oven on the lowest temperature for 3-5 hours. Both of these techniques work well, however, the baseball(s) will never fully return to there original shape. Best way to use these are for practice.
I play softball, field work days come way too often! Puddles the size of lakes. We have found the shovel and wheelbarrows take a while and that digging a small hole at the deepest point and using a pump works the best. To keep it off try using tarps.
Take a pump, take all the air out and have the ball facing down, then put new air in it and have it dry outside.
It gets, what baseball players call, "water-logged", and the threads become hard to stay tight. Sooner or later, the threads will be easy enough to pull out and the baseball will fall apart.
Rice is a great way to fix water logged electronics. It absorbs the water and can save you a lot of money.
