A victim of the economy. MLL lost 5 of the 10 teams that played in 2008 prior to the start of the 2009 season. One of those, the 2008 MLL Champion Rochester Rattlers basically moved everything but the team name to Toronto Canada becoming the Nationals. The Toronto Nationals defeated the Denver Outlaws for the 2009 MLL Championship. The MLL plans on expanding into some new markets when the economy improves, but Los Angeles and San Francisco are not currently on the first choice list.
