A wing attack is paired with a wing defence. Wings are meant to be fast and agile so they can move around and get the ball. They are there to aid the Centre in the centre third and to the goal attack and goal shooter in the circle.

The wing attack has also got an important job on the court as their job is to create as many goal-scoring chances as possible by passing the ball to the shooters. The WA can move in the attacking and centre third but not in the goal circle or the defensive third.

The wing attack has to have solid passing and collecting skills.

The Wing attack (WA) can go in the goal third that the GA on their team can go in but they are not allowed in the goal circle, and they can also go anywhere in the centre third.

They defend the net outside the circle where the net is, they have to try and keep the ball away from the net circle. They defend in the wings, that's why they're called wing defence.
