Well, you have the parking lot and bridge to the south. At the end end of the parking lot you have M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens. To the North you have a hotel and a few pubs and the arena. To the east you have the Light Rail, convection center, and Inner Harbor. Also, there is a sports museum right out side the gate.
Oriole Park at Camden Yards (OPACY) is located adjacent to Interstates 95 and 395, as well as a Light Rail station, and is nearby to the Baltimore Ravens' M&T Bank Stadium, and a short walk from the Inner Harbor stop on the Water Taxi, making it highly accessible to visitors. Additionally, a downtown location was desired when plans were made to replace the Orioles former home, Memorial Stadium. The site is nearby to the birthplace of Babe Ruth, and some historians believe the stadium is built on top of land which once housed a bar with Babe's father owned and ran, though this may not be historically verifiable.
Ferrell and Devery bought the Baltimore Orioles in January, 1903 and were successful in finding land on the north side of Manhattan to build a ballpark to move the team into for the 1903 season.
