Football involves a lot of hard work, individually and as a team. aLSO LOTS OF WEIGHT LIFTING WHEN THE SEASON HAS NOT STARTED YEAT. But the games involve lots of contact and many times injuries. different position migh need different skills like lineman need fast footwork and be strong and big, receiver need runing speed and be able to catch the ball, runing backs need big explosivness and speed. In tv there are always receivers and runing backs that get all the glory but it should be the lineman because they work much harder than the rest of the team and if one of them don't do their job which is blocking the whole play is messed up which can hurt someone or hoppefully lost of yards.
dedacation ,heart phycical and mental strength ,disaplen ,it takes almost EVERYTHING you got to play football, its not 1 of the sports were you wake up and say " i am going to be a football player" no. it doesn't work out like that you gotta give it everything you got, and if that's not enough, you either quit, or you go get some more.
This is what you do in football.
This is English Football and American Soccer.
1) You try to get the ball to the other side of the field and put it into the net to score points.
This is American Football.
1) You try to get the ball to the other side of the field and either get it to break the plane of the end zone or kick it though the field goal to score points.
That's mainly what you're supposed to do with the ball in each sport.
Now to answer the precise question that has been asked:
The football, believe it or not, does Nothing! The 'poor' thing just sits there and takes its punishment!
As it is, basically, an air-filled rubber bag with some protective casing, when it is kicked, or when it bounces on the ground, it distorts minisculy in shape. An elastic effect is wrought by the compression of air inside and distortion in shape of the bag under the force used, such that the ball 'gives' under the foot strike on the ball - so that the foot is not hurt. It gets kicked, punched, struck, caught or bounced, depending precisely on the nature of the rules of the game. That's what the ball does.
The other notable thing that one observes the ball doing is spinning in flight, depending on the precise angle etc., of the strike on the ball. This spin will produce a curved path on the ball's flight.
Depending upon the precise kick and conditions of the playing surface, the ball can be observed, skidding across, bouncing upon, or rolling along, the ground, lifting into the air, dropping in elevation, or even 'dipping' down quickly in flight when some top spin has also been imparted. Balls can also turn left or right in the air depending on the precise spin imparted and the varying wind and weather conditions.
neutioplioran force, munich force, detrene force, and friction all help the player run and the ball lift when kicked, also gravitational force would make the ball come back down once it has been kicked.
