That entirely depends on the position and whose move it is.

If it is your move and you do not have any other pieces that can move, then it is a stalemate and the game is drawn. If you do have other pieces that can move, the game simply keeps going.

If it is your opponent's move and he checks you and you cannot block the check, it is checkmate and your opponent wins. If he does not check your king, then the game just goes on.

There is always the possibility someone can move REPLY TO: There is always possibility someone can move THE REPLY: There is actually not because my dad and brother had a game where it was impossible, nobody could move, and nobody had been jumped, so I am still wondering...

If one player's king cannot move in Chess and is in check, that player has been checkmated and has lost the game. If that player is not in check, that player has been stalemated and the game is a draw.

This is impossible. There is no way, following the normal rules of chess, that this could occur. The reason is that as soon as one moves and puts the opponents King in check, the checked player must remove himself from check on his move. You also cannot make a move that would put yourself into check, remember.

Is the king in chess your goal?

The goal in chess, or the object of the game, is to checkmate your opponent's king. A king is in checkmate when he is attacked and no matter what move he attempts to make he is still being attacked (or in check). There are three ways to get out of check: move the king to a safe square, capture the checking piece, or block with another piece. If a player is in check and cannot get out of check, he is in checkmate and has lost the game.
