∙ 12y agoThere are a lot of ways to participate in figure skating! For one, you could find a rink near you, and skate there on open skate days. You could also take lessons, or join a team and participate.

∙ 12y agoFigure skating works just like any other individual sport works. Everyskater will get their own turn to skate. Then as soon as the get off the ice they will receive their mark and will be told what place they are currently in. There are different events in figure skating such as , Pair skating, Womens singles, Mens singles and Ice dancing. Each type of skating will happen together, for exxample, they will not let a woman single skate then a pair skate. Its organzied. Each skater does a short program and a long program. Final marks are announced after everyone has completed their long program. Then medals are handed out for 1st 2nd and 3rd place. Everyone that places lower will receive nothing.

∙ 12y agobe very dedicated and never ever give up! apart from that it is twirling around and breaking bones . if you ask figure skaters they would tell you from personal experiance!
~ i am a figure skater and i love it! you do have to be extremely dedicated and if at first you don't succeed try try again. most people remember the spins and jumps and that is the most exciting part to watch but its also all about balance and being graceful on the ice. if you don't have good balance then unfortunately you don't really have a good chance of becoming a good figure skater.
