The Bolsheviks overthrew the provisional government which had been put in place after the tsar abdicated the throne. The Bolsheviks did not overthrow the czar, but they did murder him.
In the October Revolution (November on the Gregorian calendar), the Bolshevik party overthrew the Provisional Government in Petrograd. The moderate socialists were not respected by the radical Bolsheviks.

In the Bolshevik Revolution the Provisional government in Petrograd was overthrown. The Bolsheviks were led by Vladamir Lenin and signed peace treaties to remove Russia from WWI.
The Russian Provisional Government led by Alexander Kerensky was overthrown by the Bolsheviks in the October Revolution of 1917. The Bolsheviks did not overthrow the Tsar. That had already been done in the February Revolution of 1917.
