In 1919, he played for the Boston Red Sox and during that time set a record for the most scoreless innings in the World Series. Also during that time with the Red Sox, he hit 29 home runs, which was a new record. In 1920, he went and played with the New York Yankees. In his career, he set many records some of which were hitting 60 home runs in a year. That record stood unbroken for at least 34 years.
