When the opposing player(s) are penalized for an infraction, the other team gets a one (1) or two (2) man advantage over the offending team, known as a power play, for a specific length of time depending on the seriousness of the infraction committed.

Penalty lengths:

Minor: two (2) minute

Double minor: four (4) minutes

Major: five (5) minutes

Game misconduct: ten (10) minutes
