- Competitors have to clear 10 big (about 100cm big) hurdles that had been put evenly in field while running. - Competitors are disqualified if they push over 3 or more hurdles over in a race. - If a hurdler steps out of the tracks, that hurdler is out. Hope this can help you!

You start at the starting line which is 45ft away from the first hurdle and when you jump the first hurdle you have nine more to jump which are 30ft apart. You are allowed to hit/knock down the hurdle, but your not allowed to push down the hurdles with your hands.

at the start stand 1 metre from the start line in your allocated lane. when the starter blows a whistle then make your way to the line in your lane but not on the line or in front of it. The starter will say set, at this point you must not move, any movement will be classed as a false start. 2 false starts lead to a disqualification. Once every athlete is set the starter will fire a bullet and the race will begin. Remember to start on the b of the bang and not before, this would also be a false start. Each athlete must remain in their allocated lane until they have gone round the curve and are on the back straight. You may only move over when it is safe to do so and you will not be obstructing any athlete. The athletes must stay within the track lane markings for the whole race and if anyone does come off of the track they will be disqualified. The finish is simple, just cross the line before you slow down or stop. Hope this helps.
