There is actually a difference between the 2 balls.
Outdoor ball pressure is 2.5-3.2psi. Indoor balls are much harder at 4.3-4.6psi.
In other words a Beach volleyball is lighter then a indoor volleyball
As this goes without saying, the main difference between beach volleyball and indoor volleyball are the locations in which the games are played; beach volleyball being played on a beach court, and indoor volleyball being played on an indoor court. While indoor volleyball requires 6 athletes with fixed positions from each team on the court at one time, beach volleyball only requires 2, in most instances of competitive play. Other differences occur in areas such as the court. For example, a regulation indoor court is 30 feet by 30 feet on each side, while a beach court is 26.3 by 26.3 on each side. Also, a beach court lacks an attack line, or a ten foot line. Hope this helps!
Beach volleyball is on the beach, indoor vollyball is indoors
well, first off the rules are basically the same:
3 touches, line's in, the '2-ball' rule w/the setter is still the same.
its more, what's different?:
There is hard court volleyball, which is played on a wooden floor and there is beach volleyball, which is played in the sand (There is also indoor beach volleyball, but it is much smaller than beach and hard court)
Yes, volleyball is in the summer Olympics. They have men's indoor, woman's indoor, and beach
Yes, Beach Volleyball is always played on a beach or a sand court, whereas Indoor Volleyball must always be played inside on a floor. But they both have the same rules in Volleyball it's just the court that is different. In terms of difficulty, a Beach court is much more harder than a indoor court. It is harder on a Beach court because the sand weighs you down when you are running and jumping, and the wind plays a very big role when it comes to playing Beach Volleyball. Whereas Indoor Volleyball is safe from the elements and the floor is solid so you can run easily and jump higher than on a Beach court.
Beach volleyball with 2 people and indoor volleyball with a team of 6 on the court.
1.) Indoor has six players whereas Beach has 2 players. 2.) Indoor you can have a set spin when release and it doesn't necessarily count as a carry, but Beach it almost always does. 3.) Beach you can hold onto a set longer than in indoor, though. 4.) And, obviously Beach is played on sand while Indoor is played on a court.
Yes, they have indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. Indoor volleyball has been a medal sport in the Summer Olympics since 1964. Beach volleyball debuted as a demonstration sport at the 1992 Games and became a medal sport in 1996.
There is no 10ft line in beach volleyball, but in indoor it is to ensure that the backrow players are attacking from behind it
It depends if we are talking about Indoor Volleyball or Beach Volleyball. Indoor/ court Volleyball: 6 players each side Beach Volleyball: 2 players per team/ sode
