What are the best bmx cranks you can buy?

This is by no means set in stone and is highly subjective as every single company has had snapped cranks returned to them under warranty but, here's my take on the subject after looking for some new cranks for my own ride.

Profile cranks are good and have set the standard for how most BMX cranks if not all function assemble and look.

However, the design of the recent generation of their cranks have been going for some years (decades) now and that design has been updated by other companies who make their cranks in Taiwan except for Solid who are another good Us company with a relatively small output of cranks and products.

This used to be frowned upon but, since the technology in the Taiwanese bike building industry has grown superior to the US due to better newer and more machines in factories, cheaper running costs and an understanding of how to make quality BMX products guided and designed by predominantly US and European bike companies although mistakes can still be made.

My conclusion is that Taiwanese made cranks are now where innovation and aesthetics lie especially with the 2pc and 2.5pc designs and at the top of that innovation are Flybikes Cranks and Odyssey Twombolts after these two there are a plethora of for want of a better term - Profile clones with and without a 2.5pc axle/arm setup.
