∙ 9y agoThere are plenty of materials that can be used for bike production. Usually the frame/fork is steel or aluminum, with steel also used for spokes, sprockets, chain and axles. handlebars and seat posts are usually aluminium. Saddles are a mix of metal rails, plastic pan and plastic/rubber padding. Tires, tubes and grips are rubber.
First it was steel, then chromoly, then alloy, then carbon, and now even timber.
