Derek has no difficulties. He leads the Yankees in batting average (.314), Hits (93) and has more home runs than he did all last season. He also is tied for 1st place in the AL for hits and has 40 runs scored as of June 20th. He will have an amazing season and move into 3rd place all-time with his 8th 200 hit season. He is also a few hits from 13th place all-time in hits. Jeter always heats up in the last 2 months of the season and could very well end up with his 1st batting title. He is also playing the field and running as well as he ever has (if not better). Age is meaningless....ask Satchel Paige (59) when he finished his major league career, and Nolan Ryan,Pete Rose and so many others.
