How old do you have to be to get into Ballet School?
you can start ballet at any age there are classes for 2 year olds all the way up yo adult. It is a common misconception that you have to be young to start ballet, i started when i was 13 and now im en pointe and as good as my friends how have been doing it since they were four. so please dont be put off by your age ballet is wonderful no matter how old you are !! :)

There are 8 ballet grades but there is also pointe work in grade 5 and up (although some start in grade 4), so if some one asks you, you could say that there are 8 or 12 because when you are in grade 5 up you have the poite work exams as well. What level would you be in if you are just starting ballet and you are 13 years old?
Well I am 12 (nearly 13) and am grade 5. However, I have had quite a few years of training. Grading is not done based on age, but on ability. Ask your teacher, Depending on how confident you feel Grade 3, 4 or even 5 if you are really dedicated and have at least 2 lessons a week. Anyway good luck!!! :)
