Sparky is truly the most entertaining mascot I've ever seen. He was originally the mascot of the New York Dragons arena football team. The Dragons used to be the Iowa Barnstormers, but they were bought by Computer Associates, who also owns the Islanders. He was originally the colors of the Dragons team, red and black, but was given the blue and orange to match the Islanders.
