From 1985 to 1997, the National Football Conference won 13 consecutive Super Bowls. The streak began with the San Francisco 49ers' victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XIX and was snapped when the Denver Broncos defeated the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII.
They won 9 in a row in 1980, that is the longest I can find. They are on an 8 game winning streak now, in the 2010 season, with 2 games remaining. The Falcons won the last 9 games of their 1998 season. They went on to win two playoffs for a Super Bowl appearance where they lost to the Denver Broncos. That would make an 11 game streak including post-season play. In 1980, in a 12-4 regular season, their 9 game winning streak ended when they lost the last game of the season. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
South Carolina just won its 16th in a row.I think it was 6 last year in the CWS.Five this year in the Regionals and Super Regionals and 5 at the CWS.
The Denver Broncos
The Lombardi Trophy is present to the winner of the Super Bowl. It is impossible to win the Lombardi trophy without winning the Super Bowl.
The most consecutive wins in a single season and to go on to win the Super Bowl, the answer would be the Miami Dolphins in 1972, in which they won 17 games (regular and post-season). This was, and still is, the NFL's ONLY perfect season. The 2007 Patriots won 18 games in a row in one season. Having a "perfect" regular season while bowing to the giants in the super bowl. The 2003-2004 Patriots have the longest winning streak over the course of two seasons including playoffs. That is 21 games in a row. The 2008-2009 Colts had a 23 win "Regular season streak" that was not a real streak as it was broken up by a playoffs loss. So I guess the real answer is The Patriots have the longest actual steaks... 2007 or 2003-2004 depending on what you're asking about. *Note* The Green Bay Packers have a 17 game winning streak and counting so far. They have to go 16-0 to beat the record (22 Games).
It was 13-3. The Dallas Cowboys ended the Saints winning streak.
No Superbowl team has ever won the super bowl 3 times in a row. so the next best thign is to count how many Super bowls in a decade (how long the average star player and dynasty last). 2 teams (49ers and Stellers) have won 4 Super bowl in a single decade.
buffalo went 4 times in a row with out winning
