Say this a few times and you'll get the picture: "Understand Newfoundland."
(Of course, no one but a Newfoundlander can truly understand Newfoundland.)

Generally speaking, however, Ontario and Quebec are referred to as "Central Canada," and the other four are referred to as the "Atlantic Provinces."
Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are also referred to as the "Maritime Provinces."
