No, mascots are generally chosen because they have the most personality. It takes a really fun, energetic person to display emotions through a mascot suit. If you are not satisfied with being the mascot, and still would like to be a cheerleader next year, I suggest getting as much outside coaching as you can. Join an all star gym, get private coaching, take a tumbling class, whatever. Do whatever you can to improve your Cheerleading skills.
