On breastroke there are three phases to the stroke; pull, kick and glide. It depends on the distance you are swimming as to the relative lengths to each phase, if you're swimming a sprint (50m for example) the glide phase will be relatively short while if you're swimming a longer distance (200m for example) then the glide will be the main phase in terms of time
