As of 5 April 2008, The Celtics have made the biggest turnaround in history. They now have 61 wins, which is 37 more than last year's 24 victories.

---- Prior to the 2007-08 season, the record for greatest improvement of wins in consecutive seasons was held by the San Antonio Spurs. In the 1996-97 season, the Spurs went 20-62. In 1997-98 they went 56-26, an improvement of 36 games. The Spurs also held the second largest improvement. In 1988-89 they went 21-61. In 1989-90 they went 56-26 for an improvement of 35 games. The Phoenix Suns held the third largest improvement. In 2003-04 they went 29-53. In 2004-05 they went 62-20 for an improvement of 33 games. ---- The most improved Celtics team ever had been in Larry Bird's first season, when the Celtics improved from 29 wins one year to 61 wins the next, for 32 more wins.
