As there are many people who are and have played the game under either code records are very poor because of the hobby players, schools and colleges etc. However, the smallest on record having played at high level was Jacques Fouroux (deceased) at 5ft 4"

∙ 12y agoThe smallest player can only be ascertained form those registered at IRB level. The smallest professional player appears to be Shane Williams at 5feet 7in

Find a club near you and join their sessions for your age group. To find a club try googling rugby and your country and then the clubs listed. There are two distinct codes. Rugby union and league. Check out both on you tube and see which you would prefer.
