well if you do excersize the right way after not excersizing for a long period of time ( a week or more) lactic acid will build up in places you have worked and it will be pretty painful and sore. the soreness will follow for the next few days and if you concistantly work out during the week the soreness will eventualy go away and you will be fit in no time
