It would be a good idea, yes. Especially if a teen is developing, it's important to keep things supported while you are running and jumping.

∙ 9y agoYou should always protect yourself while skating.. pads or otherwise, but I've never seen or heard of anyone riding with a jock strap on.. that would be pretty uncomfortable.
