There is no age limit for participating in college athletics. Typically, once a student begins their college education they have 5 years of eligibility to play a college sport, for no more than 4 years total.

Of course, other limitations exist, such as GPA requirements, minimum credit hour requirements, etc.

The NFL allows players to be drafted that have been out of high school for at least three years. The youngest player ever drafted was 19 year old defensive tackle Amobi Okoye out of Louisville by the Houston Texans. There is no upper age limit.

In the United States one must be age 18, but for European Football they accept up to the ages of 16
