Best Answer

No, because you stand on each other and do dancy stuff.

Another Opinion:

I definitely believe Cheerleading should be perceived as a sport. Cheerleading has become so much more than just standing on the sideline with pom pons and doing "dancy stuff" Cheerleaders nowadays (both school and All Star) train for 5-12 hours each weak. They practice advanced tumbling moves much like a gymnast, jumps, and complicated and dangerous stunts. All this takes a great ammount of physical strength and stamina, not to mention the extra flexibility and agility cheerleaders have to have. There's really no good reason why people say that cheerleading isn't a sport, other than they don't really know what it is, or they're stuck in a stereotype

What percent of people think that cheerleading is the most dangerous sport for girls?

I would say that there isn't a definite percent, since a lot of people do not consider cheerleading to be a sport. It has been proven however, to be the most dangerous sport for female athletes. This is mostly due to the fact that cheerleading results in more serious injuries than other sports. Permanent back injuries are common as well as bone breaks, sprains, and muscle strains.

Why should cheerleading be a sport?

Because not only is it one of the most dangerous sports out there, it is quickly becoming one of the most popular sports between females and males, alike. Many people put their lives on the line daily to perform the outrageously dangerous and breath-taking tricks that they make look easy just for the sport they love. If you still aren't a believer, I recommend youtubing Maryland Twisters F5. THATS why cheerleading should be considered a sport.
