Well, I'm no expert by any means, but to me it would depend on what my (your) future looked like at the position, and school you are planning to attend. Schools only get a certain number of scholarships to hand out each year, they also can award scholarships after you are in attendance (like next year, or after).

Back to your school and position deal, obviously a person would want to go where they have the most potential to play. Going to USC really couldn't be considered a bad idea, unless you are going as a say, RB, and they will have 4 or 5 guys ahead of you (and that comes down to their years left at that program also) so unless all of those guys are juniors and seniors, you aren't going to see much pt for a long while.

With the "instant" video ability of any person at any time, at any place, around the country, the chances of "being noticed" by scouts (from NFL, other schools) are much, much greater at any school of any level. So I believe the need to attend a Div 1 school to get exposure deal is something of the past.

So really, it will come down to a various number of "pro's and con's" that you will have to weigh out to determine what will be best for you, anyone that tells you it's a black and white issue (meaning a go or don't go simple answer), is fooling themselves. There are too many factors to consider, to even think it could be a simple yes or no, stay or go answer.

Can you get a scholarship as a junior male throwing discus 142 shot put 40.0 ft and Javelin 143 is that good enough for a Division 1 Scholarship If not how much more distance is needed?

If you are female, then you would need 45 feet for the shot put, 140 feet for the javelin, and 149 feet for the discus to get a division 1 track scholarship. It looks like javelin is your best bet. I would focus on improving your technique and distance. If you are male, then you should focus on academics and getting high SAT or ACT scores.

Do defense lacrosse players get scholarships?

How fast should you run a 5k to get a Division 1 scholarship?

My estimate of the 5k xc mark a guy would need to get a full scholarship for cross country and track is probably 15:30, maybe even faster. However there are plenty of smaller time division 1 programs that will give you a partial scholarship for significantly slower times. For a girl, that standard for a full ride is probably around 18:00.

Why should you get this scholarship?

Should you go to football practice if you broke your ankle like to watch?

If you are even asking the question, then football is not a major focus of interest for you and you are not headed to college on a football scholarship. For you, it's a fun activity you like to engage in when your foot works. My advice is to spend your time in a manner that isn't going to bore you silly.
