Brian Gionta Stephen Gionta and Mats Zucarrello are all 5'7
The shortest player ever to be in the NHL would be Roy "shrimp" Worters at 5'3".
Nathan Gerbe at 5'5 178lb
It depends on the type of contract they have. A two-way contract stipulates the amount the player would make playing in the NHL, and a different amount if they were playing in the AHL. So a player might make $525,000 in the NHL but only $65,000 if hes laying in the AHL. A one-way contract however only has a single salary. So no if he's making $545,000 in teh NHL and is sent to the AHL his salary would still be $525,000
Mabey he is still playing
St. Louis Blues goalie Manny Legace is the shortest. He is 5'9"
Martin St. Louis on the Tampa bay lightning players stands at 5"9
Brian Gionta 5 foot 6 inches
After playing 400 NHL regular season games, one can qualify for $80,000 per year for life.
I imagine it would be Nathan Gerbe, who is listed at 5 ft 5 in and 178 lbs.
