She also won gold in 1980 and had the Soviet bloc countries not boycotted the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, probably would have won gold then too. She won her first gold medal (1980) at the age of 18 and her last gold medal (2004) at the age of 42.
2) Aladár Gerevich, Hungary - Fencing gold medals at the Games in 1932, 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, and 1960 (there were no Olympic Games held in 1940 and 1944).
3) Pál Kovács, Hungary - Fencing gold medals at the Games in 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, and 1960 (there were no Olympic Games held in 1940 and 1944).
