Tennis can be either an individual or team sport.
In individual tennis, one plays only for themselves. If they lose, it only affects them. This type of tennis is played at the tournament and professional levels.
In team tennis, there are multiple players. They each play a match and every won match counts as a point. The winner is the team with the most points. Tennis leagues usually play this style.
Yes
Track is both an individual and team sport. Personally, you are competing to beat your best time, distance etc. But the top places, first second and third, each score and certain amount of points so to figure out who won the meet the number of first second third place athletes on each team is calculated.
It depends. Swimmers can make it a team sport by supporting their teammates and many people do better with others on their team cheering them on. But, some people like not really being part of the whole team and being more of an individual swimmer.
Times are individual, so it is not a team in that way.
Points from winning races add up to help win meets (mostly in high school swimming) which is the team aspect of swimming.
Swimmers tend to bond with each other, making them more of a team.
Overall, yes. I believe swimming is a team sport.

Tennis isn't a sport, it is more of a hobby.
Tennis and croquet, though Wimbledon also has it's own soccer team
When talking about on separate teams you can have singles tennis, but when on the same team there is beach volleyball, doubles tennis, and two person bobsled.
A "team" sport has more than one player on a side or team. Football, Baseball, soccer, hockey and Basketball are all team sports. An "individual" sport has single opponents playing against each other. Wrestling is an individual sport. Golf is an individual sport that can have many opponents in the same game and it can have a group of golfers form a team but each player is an individual player. Tennis is an individual sport when played as "singles" and a team sport when played as "doubles" but can also have teams put together with singles and doubles.Sports in which only one player per team competes at a time, with individual scores counting toward the team score.
