A crow hop is a technique (for lack of a better term) that is used by outfielders when they are fielding a ball directly in front of them and need to make a quick throw into the infield to keep a runner from advancing an extra base. Once the ball is in the fielder's glove, they kick their trailing leg up and forward and turn their foot at an angle so when it lands it is perpendicular to the target they are throwing to. In the MLB there are 25 players on a team. If you want to make it as realistic as possible you should that. But if you like a challenge you could do a 40 man roster. Another problem is that you need to know how many players you need per position. If you decided to do a 25 man roster I recommend one catcher, 2 first basemen (because that is the most plentiful position in all of baseball), 1 second basemen, 1 shortstop, 1 first base/third base, 5 outfielders, 3 bench players (either batter or pitcher), and 11 pitchers. For a 40 man roster i recommend 2 catchers, 3 first basemen, 2 second basemen, 2 shortstops, 1 second base/shortstop, 1 third base/first base, 7 outfielders, 6 bench players, and 16 pitchers
