Yes. Moreover, its the oldest Golf club at its original course. 9 holes are evident from a course map dated 1886. Golf 1st was played their 5 years sooner just not on a "course".

This answer is incorrect with respect to the oldest existing golf club with continuous golf at the same location. The Edgewood Club of Tivoli in Tivoli NY was founded in 1884 and has had golf continuously since then.

I don't think there is a firm answer, but I know of a couple courses who's dates fit the bill. The Victoria Golf Club in Canada stakes a valid claim, but Gearheart in Oregon and Fairfield Golf and Country Club in Fairfield, Iowa all have valid claims as well.
