it has been tested... when man o war raced the dirt slowed him down by five seconds and when secretariat raced the sand/dirt made them go faster. and secretariats time was only 2 seconds faster then man o wars... but if you put the dirt into the equatuion then MAN O WAR becomes alot fast. in the end man o war was a much faster and better horse and not to metionm the fast throughbred of all time
Most experts agree that Secretariat was faster than Man O War. If one looks at times for distance, it is not even close. On equal tracks, Secretariat still wins by several lengths at any distance.

∙ 12y agoSome believe that Secretariat is like Man-o-war and that he is somehow related to him. It ight be the case but also its hard to tell. Man of war had sired so many fouls so its difficult to tell. the one simularity they do share is the winning of the triple crown. So maybe they can be.
