It really depends on whether your talking about in the Olympics or referring to Nordic skiing as cross country skiing.
Nordic events
Ski jumping: is quite dangerous, but due to the steepness of the landing area, is not as dangerous as you might think.
Cross country skiing: carries very little dangers.
Combined event: carries the same dangers above.
Alpine events such as the slalom, downhill event, super giant slalom ect......
Often feature high speed crashes, this is very likely to injure any skier, so i would say that alpine skiing is more dangerous.
Of course! There is nordic skiing, mostly on flatland and then there is alpine, the more popular, successful side of the sport.
If you are recreationally skiing, then no, it is not a race. It is a chance to have fun. Remember that staying in control and skiing safely is more important than going fast. However, there is a division of alpine skiing that focuses on racing.
They are both equally dangerous. By skiing or snowboarding, you are assuming a risk that you could die. Hardly anyone ever does, but there are some crazy people who go on a way too dificult trail for them and hit a tree. But that's rare.
grinding
snowboarding is more dangerous..... you can crack your neck and smash your head....and you can't do moguls......you are very limited...unlike skiing.
it depends if u are skiing in certain areas than skiing but i think skiing is more dangerous and in skating you might be able to bruise yourself, maybe brake a bone but in skiing you can shatter bones but if your looking for a sport to do nothing beats skiing, what an adrenaline rush

Alpine skiing, Wind Surfing and Bobsleigh Those are just three, there are more.
i think it depends if ur like skiing in certain terrain then skiing but if ur like grinding off step (easy stuff is less dangerous than skiing such as flat rails not near steps or at a angle ) and ollying off like 5 steps then skateboarding.
They are both dangerous, a proper training is the best way to avoid danger. So before you try any of it better to have a proper training first.
