Because of the skeletal immaturity of a 13-year-old, it is not advisable that they train with weights. My recommendation is to play regular sports to develop all-around fitness, plus coordination, and wait until age sixteen (or fifteen at least).
I think that lifting weights is a great idea but like 8-10 pounds only and then like in 1 month u start to see progress and also do push ups if u dont have weights it is good if u workout 5 times a week.
Toning is best at that age. Just getting your body used to the weight is healthy and keeping fit. Dont begin to try lifting heavy weights until you are about 16 so that you dont get stiff. Heavy weights at a young age can harm the body.
Can do…. Until you are doing in a proper way, weight training offers various health benefits at the age of 13.The National Strength and Conditioning Association says that child can participate in weight training around the age of 7 or 8.
The same organization also stresses the importance of "properly designed and supervised" resistance training for children and adolescents. It further acknowledges that there are risks related to resistance training. The message is to avoid excessive resistance, whether by weights or other means and avoid the advice of unqualified people.
No, they should not. My recommendation is to play regular sports to develop all-around fitness and co-ordination. Because of the skeletal immaturity of a 13-year old, it is not advisable that he or she train with weights. Wait until age sixteen---or at least 15 before lifting weights.

No. Lifting weights is an excellent exercise and unless done to excess will not be harmful.
No. This is one of the things that is commonly misunderstood about lifting heavy weights. Lifting weights is not bad. There are people that squat four times their body weight and they have never been injured badly. If you do exercises with proper form, you will be able to gain muscle without injuring yourself.
not at all im 17 im lifting weights for two months and i have never felt better than now...i have a lot of appetite...and never been stronger
No, in fact, it can improve their muscular strength and their overall health. However, if done taken to an extreme, it can be dangerous, as it can cause them to tear muscle tissues. So keep it within a reasonable limit, and lifting weights can be good for everyone.
Because teenagers are still growing and lifting weights can stop their growth. If you start bodybuilding, then be careful and consult a doctor when you feel something is not right. Don't hurt yourself.
Hemorrhoids, go to a doctor.
