Because of the skeletal immaturity of a 9-year-old, it is not advisable that you train with weights. My recommendation is to play regular sports to develop all-around fitness, plus co-ordination, and wait until you are sixteen-or at least 15.

Should 13 year old be lifting 25 pounds?

there are many different ways that you can lift something. i would need to know how you are lifting this weight. but, if you can lift it and it doesn't hurt then you should be fine. although it is said that you shouldn't be lifting weights until youre older, as it can affect your development.

Anything you want to do..but if you mean for exercise then you could always do sports. You can run or swim or ride a bike. Lifting weights is about the only way you are going to get bigger though (i mean muscle mass, not skeletal size)

What if your 8 year old son watches you lift weights and wants to lift too you want to teach him the bench press would this by safe?

Bad idea. The muscles in his body havn't fully developed yet and by lifting weights it would stunt muscle growth and may affect how tall he/ grows.

How can a 14 year old get better at bench pressing more weights?

Keep lifting. Lift consistently, and do not skip. Try to eat lean meats after lifting, and remember: it isn't how much you can lift that ultimately determines strength, you will gain strength even if you lift smaller weights very frequently.

A good recommendation is to play regular sports to develop all-around fitness and coordination. Wait until age sixteen (or fifteen at least) before lifting weights. Because of the skeletal immaturity of a 14-year-old, it is not advisable that they train with weights until a little older.
