Can a batter swing during an intentional walk?

Yes, there are no rules in baseball stating what kind of pitch a batter may swing at. It wouldn't be wise to swing at a pitch thrown during an intentional walk, but if the batter wanted to it would be legal.

If a ball comes to the batter and it's a good ball and it's not swung at is that consided a strike out?

If the pitch is in the strike zone, and the batter does not swing, it is a "strike." If the pitch is not in the strike zone, and the batter does not swing, it is a "ball."

Why was the pitch named the rise ball invented for softball use?

The rise ball is a very useful pitch in softball. A good rise ball begins looking like a strike so the batter will swing at it. However, by the time the ball reaches the batter, is it higher than it was when it first started out. The causes the batter to swing in miss since upward adjustments with a softball swing are very hard to make.

Batter squares to bunt and doesnt swing?

a bunt is not a swing unless the plain of the plate is broken ... and or the batter dose not pull back the bat when the pitch is made ...Answer:I understand this question asking, "What happens if a batter squares to bunt but pulls back on the pitch?" --- if this is the situation, then when the batter pulls back the bunt the pitch would be called a ball or strike just like any other pitch. If he does not pull the bat back before the ball crosses the plate then it is a strike, much like a missed swing

What is a stike out in baseball?

A strike out is when a batter has two strikes (times when they either swing and miss or don't swing at a pitch in the strike zone) and they either don't swing at another pitch in the strike zone, or swing, and miss (if they make contact, but hit the ball foul, it's not a strike out)

When Pitch hits you after you swing and miss?

If the bases are loaded with two outs and the batter is hit in the hands in the act of swinging and cannot continue can he be called out and end the inning?

If the batter did not check his swing, (the bat came past home plate), a strike will be called. If he did check his swing, he will advance to first on a hit by pitch, scoring a run. In the former circumstance, the inning will be over if there were previously two strikes on the batter.

If pitch hits ground in fastpitch baseball then hits the batter does he go to first?

A pitched ball can hit the ground before crossing home-plate. In most cases the batter would not swing and the pitch would be called a ball. But, if the batter decides the swing, the ball is still in play after hitting the ground and the batter may not hit the ball and receive a strike, or he may foul the ball, or hit a base-hit.

Is it possible to make someone score without ever swinging your bat in MLB baseball?

Yes, that would be possible with four consecutive walks where the batter did not swing at a pitch or four consecutive hit batters where the batter did not swing or a combination of the two.
