soccer players because they have a bigger field
its somewhat the same. Except in basketball we play on a court(wood, cement) and in soccer we play on field(mostly grass) and the major difference is in basketball we dribble(with hand) and in soccer we play with the foot. And of course the fouls are different.Hope that helped.
Basketball Court
court: squash, volleyball, badminton, ball hockey, basketball, dodgeball, boxing, wrestling, dancing, gymnastics, handball, tennis field: soccer, baseball, football, archery, etc...
You play basketball on a court, not a "playing field".
A court
Half courts shots are in basketball. Playing area in soccer is called a field. In basketball a half court shot is a shot taken from the middle line, or the line where the jump ball is thrown up. Although very uncommon, a half court shot is worth three points and can be a very useful way to get your team ahead. Hope this helps.
