Yes, that is fast for a 12 year old. Good job.
The year the pitching mound was introduced and the pitching distance was moved to 60 feet, 6 inches was 1893.
46 feet.
46 feet
pitchers mound 54 or 56 feet bases 80 feet
9 to 12 years old little league regulation is 46 feet mound to plate
50 feet Actually it depends: Mustang: 9-10 year old league; 44 feet Bronco: 11-12 year old league; 48 feet Pony: 13-14 year old league; 54 feet Colt and Palomino: I believe are 60 feet Note: Some places have two different pony teams (13u and 14u). The pitching mound distance is the same for both.
in high school, the distance was changed this year from 40 to 43 feet. this gives the hitters an advantage
Probably only about 25-30 feet since it's not even kid pitch.
Home Plate DistanceA child playing Little Leauge is can be at one of two levels at age 13. If the child is playing with children 13 and younger , then the mound is 46 feet away. If the child is playing with children that are 13 and older, then the mound is 60 feet and 6 inches. Take care Charles Wrong. There is seniors, which is several feet less than regulation. Also, in middle school, the distance is not quite regulation either. It starts in highschool, usually age 14.
It used to be 40 feet but since 2009, the distance is now set at 43 feet. The reason why is because Olympic and pro distance is now set at 43 feet.
