Is 5' 9' small for NFL?

Hall of Fame 5'9" cornerback Darrell Green played 20 years for the Washington Redskins. Cornerback Ray Mickens played 10 seasons in the NFL, mostly for the NY Jets at nickelback, and stood 5'8". Both had tremendous speed; Darrell Green was the NFL's fastest man for most of his career, and was a sure tackler who was outstanding against the run. That being said, 5'8" is generally considered too short for a NFL corner, because even with good coverage, a big receiver can outjump the corner to make the reception, especially in the endzone. Therefore, tremendous speed, an impressive vertical jump, great weight room strength, flawless technique, a willingness to play nickelback and special teams, and punt and kickoff return skills would be necessary to have a chance in the NFL at cornerback at that height. I would also recommend playing running back on offense, as that is the least height dependant position in football (Joe Morris was 5'7", Barry Sanders was 5'8", Warrick Dunn 5'9", and obviously all had excellent careers, either winning a Super Bowl, playing pro-bowls, and/or Hall of Fame). no because some NFL players are shorter than Thant they run fast and jump gainful doesn't care about your height care about your skills and your strategies
