Boxing, wrestling, and fighting has been around for thousands of years. It was used in the ancient Greek games and the Celtic tribes competed against each other using it. It was good prep for war.

I would start thinking of a career first. Then I would start at a local college for two years then go to a different college the last two years. I have already considered my colleges at 13 years old but overall the answer to your question is yes. Glad I could help. :)
no, just apply yourself, and good luck.
to get a singing career you have to try and get a good vocal teacher. then if your in luck he/she might start giving you private lessons. i say go for it! and GOOD LUCK (were trying to do the same thing!)
Well, maybe. There is a condition that is called "punch drunk" in lay terms and Dementia pugilistica in medical terms. Dissecting that name we get dementia = loss of mental power and pugilistica = from fighting. Pugilism is boxing/fighting. The repeated impacts to the head over the long term actually damage the tissue of the brain. The onset is usually 16 years after the start of the boxing career. It is thought that neurons are lost, scar tissue builds and plaques (like MS) can form in the brain. This can lead to Parkinsonian or Altzheimer's type symptoms. Wikipedia has a good article on the topic that you can get to by clicking the link to the right. Hope this helps!
pick up an instrument and get good at it!!
D. researching career paths.
"There are many ways to start a second career, however they depend on what you are switching to and from. A good place to start would be getting the education necessary for your new choice, either consulting with a career counselor, or looking into some colleges."
If you are good at baking then a career as a baker is a good idea. To start a career as a baker look for local job openings are an apprenticeship in a bakery.
Start as early as possible, but remember that you do not want to get boxer's dementia from too many hits in the head
A good education. Also, it is spelled "career".
Go to About.com and to "boxing"/ then Search: Boxing Gyms.
Nothing good comes out of boxing except fame and if you're good enough... Money.
No, it is not. You should propably start when you are a child
Boxing is a good method of self defence and a good ring fighting style because it teaches you footwork and how to cover up as well as affective punching. Even after saying this I don't recommend getting seriously into boxing. Boxers get hit in the head hundreds of times and they eventually start to lose their sight, they get thinks like concussions and many other serious health problems from taking so many punches. So if you want to learn boxing for self defence good for you! but stay out of the ring.
16 is the best time to start the boxing but he should be good physic man, i mean having a good health and exercise. At this time he can learn more maturely and it would be easy for trainner to teach him skills __________________________________________________________________________________ Personally most fighters in the UFC didn't start till they were in their teens, but if you want to compete with the best you should start as soon as posible. 16 is still an okay age to start, just get a lot of sparing in, that is the best and fastest way to learn.
