sorry but not really. to really have a chance to win you need to be running around a 63 at the most. (that's 1 minute 3seconds)
For men running under a 60seconds would be good for a 12 year old. Towards the end of High school for an 18 year old a good time would be about 48seconds. And College should range from 44-47 for a good 400m.
I'm not sure what's an average time but a 51 second 400m is very good for a 16 year old. (Top in Ontario for sure).
i am 13 and i got 57 for 400m
hello, the answer to your question is a 1minute 10 to 20 second pace. i am sure this is a good time to run because it got me to the state finals and I'm only a junior and i was running with the high schools team.
Yea, the 7.0's are meant for hockey training which can involve running for short-medium distances. I have a pair and I think they are awesome. However, if you plan on doing alot of running, I would go to the Nike Pegasus's. They are meant strictly for running.
To run the 400m, you need to have the heart of a champion. Every event on the track is based on the 400m. Drive and run hard for the first 100m, relax in the backstretch (that doesnt mean go slower, just lift your legs from the drive phase and maintain speed), start to drive at 250-300. Give it your all at the homestretch. Trust me, the 400m hurts everyone (even when youre running slowly). So why not go your 100%? As strange as it sounds, pain goes away when youre kicking ass. Good luck!
A good time for 400 meter is not more than 60 seconds. When I was 13 i ran 58's and 57's and when i was 14 i ran 54-56 and once a 52 (depends on who and how fast the person i was running against). 56's should get you 3rd or better. Usually to garuntee a win, you'll need to run a 53 or 52, but it depends on who you are running against(no one cares what you got.. i got 9 seconds on 400m so ....)
If a truck travels 400m in 20 seconds how fast is it going
Personally i am on a Summer track team and i am 13, and the girls i run with most of our times for the 100m is 12 and 13 seconds, the 200m is 27,28,29,30, and 31 seconds, then the 400m times we get are 1 minute flat up to 1 minute and 8 seconds!! Those times are kinda slow, but i know if you practice as hard as us girls do you can totally do it! :)...Also im not sure about the 1500 or the 3 miles!
Yes when an eleven year old girl can do dash time in 78 seconds of 400m it is good timing. It really just depends on the health of the person and how good they are at doing it.
about 1 miniute 35scs
usually around 1.09-1.12.
In my opinion, it is not if you are running anything more than a 55m dash. Since there are so many turns, you most likely won't get as good times as on a 400m track.
i got 1:01
Well it depends are you on JV or Varsity? Varisity: If you can run it in 60 secs then that's really good for a middleshooler. If you can run the 400 in 65 secs that's decent but not all that great anything above that is bad . These are all varsity times s0o0o if your not getting these times right now I wouldn't sweat you'll improve for sure in the next 4 yearsSo for my team the top 400 runner (on varsity) runs about a 57 and she's really good and in HS. For middle school, I would say about a 75 is a good starting point if your running for JVNo no, for 8th grade girls a 1:05 - 1:10 is good, the record for our county middle school 400m is a 1:03.98. If you are running a minute 400m as an 8th grade girl, wow.. you're really good. I run the 400m and I'm in 7th grade and ran a 1:08 as my best.Good Luck!
1:12 or under is really good time for a girl in 7 grade
it really just depends on where you are from. in florida sub 50 is good, and sub 49 is great.
Probably anywhere between 62-70 seconds is a good time
if you are getting between 50 - 60 seconds you have a good time for a 15tn year old
It depends. Can she run laps around a track with ease or does she excel at running short distance sprints. If she is a distance runner then she has a slow twitch muscle. A 400-1600m race would probably be good for her. If she is a sprinter that means she has a fast twitch muscle. Anything less than 400m would probably be good fo her.
Since the 400M is 5% Aerobic and 95% Anaerobic, you need to train mostly on your Anaerobic system. First I would do some short sprints(around 50M-100M) to build raw speed needed for the start and finish of a 400M race. When you have that down, go to your local track and run some intervals ranging between 100M-400M. Running intervals will teach your body to handle lactic acid at high speeds which is needed in a 400M race(This will prevent you from dying in the last 100M).Try not to run intervals more than 400m because then the extra distance will make you end up running slower than your racing speed, which will teach your body to run slower than goal pace (not a good idea). Since their is only a 5% Aerobic part in this race, it would be a good idea to run a longer distance once or twice a week. If I were you, I would not run over 2 miles because if you run farther than that, you are then replacing the needed fast twitch muscle fibers with more slow twitch muscle which is not what you want since this is a fast event. Remember, just train hard and DON'T SLACK OFF!!!!!.
my track coach (who won 6 straight state titles, and ran a 50 when they were in high school) told me that you want to run your first 200 in 24 and your second in 26 in order to run a 50. if you are running a 52.5, i suppose a good time would be 25.2 and 27.3. I hope that helps you, good luck! (btw, my best time in high school was 55 so good job! if you have any pointers for me, i'd love to hear them!)
I got 62 secs for 400m nd im 14
1 min 10 seconds would be very good, one minute twenty seconds also ok
