so if they are setting the ball or overhead passing they make sure the x's are lined up or at the right angles when they set
There are many different leagues for volleyball, for beach volleyball they usually have two players on each side of the court, but for outdoor volleyball they'll either have four or more players on each side, and for indoor volleyball they have six players on each side of the court.
When I played volleyball last year my coach used me as a libero and a regular player she just had me change my uniform shirt so I guess ur answer would be yes.
I personally don't know and can only suppose that at some level of the game(not the highest, but another leagues) there is no must for the team to have a libero and some of them choose not to have such a player. What do you think about it? I expect your opinion because I'm very interested in this question!
yes but it would be easier to use your hands
Get in touch with the Volleyball Association of Gamemanship United Everywhere (VAGUE) to see if they are interested.
that's illegal and the other team would get the point
It means that the play was not as expected. Say the opposing team had a great hit, and your libero shanked it. That would be an out of system play because it would be something your players are not used to. This usually happens when a player has to save the ball.
The person with the different colored shirt is usually the best defensive player on the team, and us called the libero.
Yes, if your holding your hands wrong or if a volleyball bends your finger wrong it could break but most likely it would be a Jam instead of a break. A jam hurts but with the right care it will be better in no time.
Well first of all they make me feel like i am young again. They symbolize, for me, the togetherness you feel with you communicate without speaking and Volleyball would be completely different wthout the signals. Sometimes i feel regret when i ponder about volleyball because i had to stop playing volleyball due to an injury i received and even thought I am 18 my bones aren't as strong as they should be.
The official volleyball term for this would be a bump. But it is referred to most commonly as a bump. This is the first mvoe made when in serve recieve.
I play as a setter on my team. My coaches said that the setter is important because they set the ball to a middle, outside, or right side to spike it over the net. However, I disagree. The most important position on a volleyball team is a D.S. or libero (defensive players- back row). This is because in order to set the ball for the hitters to hit it, you need a good pass. The libero and D.S.'s job is to get all of the mean hits that come over the net onto your side up into the air so the setter can set the ball up for your hitters to hit meanly over the net. If you do not have a good defense, then you cannot have a good offense. If you do not have a good serve, then you will most likely not make it on a volleyball team because the serve is what gets the ball in play. Once the ball is in play your defense can get it up, the setter can set it to a hitter- or a 10 (back row attack). This is the MOST IMPORTANT PART IN VOLLEYBALL! If the ball does not go in play, you will lose points and the game wont be fun- AT ALL!!! J.H- I would have to AGREE the libero(middle back defensive player) is the most important. Think about it, the libero not only passes the ball, but he saves the ball the majority of the time. The Libero is a triple threat on his own, due to the fact that it exhibits the player with the most control, which is the main concept of volleyball.
